To cut a long story short I lost 80lbs last year went from 310 to 230 ,at 230 I still had a ways to go but I looked way better and got compliments. I'm 6ft tall by the way. Unfortunately I have regained a lot of the weight but I'm not here to be negative , I know exactly what needs to be done. However I love drinking too much, and its not in a social situation either. I can def control the food but when I drink I lose my inhabitions with that too, now I may or may not be an alcoholic by I think the reason I drink so much is that I am so bored during my free time.

Maybe try a AA meeting, they're very good.

Drinking doesn't do as much damage as you think, it's the 4AM doner kebab and chips followed by a lazy hungover day with chicken fillet rolls and pizza that screws people over.

You could easily drink heavily once or twice a week and get into good shape if you maintain a consistent diet. It sounds to me like you're using the drinking as a springboard for your other unhealthy habits. Now obviously you would make better progress cutting the drink out completely but it certainly is manageable with it. If your diet is spot on 6 days a week then the 1200 or so calories from a load of pints once or twice a week won't make a huge difference. You can even account for it on the day by eating less or making sure you get some exercise in beforehand.

For a lot of people boredom is the issue op and not necessarily an addiction. It just sounds like you need a new hobby to not replace drinking completely, but rather to just fill a period in your day that could be better spent.

Would you be interested in volunteering? Check out volunteer Ireland and the active link website, you might just find something that ignites your interest!

Seeing as the OP has been sitebanned, thread closed.
