    What's wrong with them?
Well for a start 4net doesn't peer with INEX.
Their site looks straight up out of the 90s, complete with broken guestbook, and a non-functioning coverage map.
WISPS are generally much more fickle than physically connecting to a line.
If you're going to use fixed wireless as your internet connection I would advise you to be very careful in selecting a reliable and professional ISP.
Plus the additional risks of using "some local guy" as a utility provider for something so important as internet.
Does this ISP have a published data protection policy? no
Are they registered correctly with comreg? no
Do they have their own ASN? no
Do they even have their own website? no, looks to be recycling a domain name of a previous business.
Do they mention the contention ratio? no, and bet your bottom $ there is one.

I mean, I wish the guy luck in his endeavours but to run an ISP is no joke and yer man needs to fix all of the above and more before he can be taken seriously.

Do you know that or are you basing it on assumptions from the website?

An FYI here.. Been with this lot for a bit now.. Expect a lot of sudden outages and constant rebooting if the router(which barely extends beyond the room it's located in).. Severe lack of

I'm cancelling my connection tomorrow as the final straw is 25hrs after contacting them to say my connection isn't working, I've had one communication at the 15hr mark to say it's up and running.. Replied back to say it isn't, and haven't heard from them since.. Sent another communication a few hours ago to say it's still not working... And nothing back... The company know I need this crucially for work(i work from home 3days a week), so to me, this is completely unacceptable and shows no interest in customer service..

just so u know ive been with this company for over 4 years now and I have ta say they much much better than other companies that ive been with
as for you Colm81 I don't think u giving them a fair crack what other company out there don't lock you into an 18 or 24 month contract
and if u try to get out of that contract early your hit with very large bill
maybe that's reason you went with them in first place maybe you were black listed with other providers

What is the broadband like. Is the speed Good and what is the usage limit like. Is it worth getting compared with staying with three. Which is good where I live.

Thats a pretty big accusation to be throwing around,

Just because your personal experience has been fine does not in anyway suggest another persons experience will be fine.

I for example detest Eircom and have had no real issues with the likes of UTV or Sky but at the same time I'm not going to belittle somebody if they have had a negative experience with these companys,

I have enough cop on to realise that everyone's experience with a company can and is different.

On that note, locking thread as its a zombie thread
