    Very old version.

Only supposed threats it found on my phone were text messages from the post office telling me to pick up a parcel.

    Too expensive at free!

    Uninstalled.

Maybe the parcel that you were supposed to have picked up was the one that was infected ;) IT IS THE FUTURE !!!!

You don't need an antivirus on Android, only Windows gets viruses, just stick to apps on proper markets, the Play Store and Amazon. On the other hand it's good to have a method of remotely wiping your phone in case it gets lost/stolen as it will have all your login details, there are plenty of apps that do this, I recommend Cerberus for this

My worry with such apps would be battery drain, I would bet it would have a significant impact. And the benefit of having such an app on your phone, really is questionable imo....

Virus is probably an outdated term now. More like trackers, loggers and spyware etc. And there are plenty of scripts written for them.

Most of which are built on exploiting the apps, not necessarily Android itself.

All the current bad stuff on Android has to be user run, a dodgy site will ask for something to be run or activated. Theirs no shortage of numpties that will click yes to this.

Its not common at all yet though. Only a matter of time till android is as vulnerable as windows. Userbase to big to ignore.

Or a side loaded out of market app.

The reviews said it was a battery hog

Using this on a Google (LG) Nexus 5 phone, it crippled my battery.

Went from 23 hours of normal use to under 8. Uninstalled, back to 23, installed, back to 8 etc.

Downloaded the app and then deleted it ...not happy with the app terms ....may use your phone to make calls ...may modify or change your text messages eto ....not sure why the app needs these permissions ...sounded a bit dodgy to me

Had to take this off my Galaxy S5 after 48 hours. It drained my battery at super speed (about 1 hour from full charge) despite having an ultra power saving mode....and kept crashing the whole system. Glad I paid for this with free amazon app vouchers and not my own money. Very very disappointed.
