I got a macbook from work as someone was let go.
i was tasked with cleaning it up. im not great on macs.previous person was..

they dont have a user account on boot up but they appear on mac hd/users

they have an account located there but there is no access for me to delete that folder or to delete its contents.. they say i have no permission to access that folder.

when i click permission, the previous owner has read and write and no access for anyone else..

any ideas on how to delete?

    thanks

They do have a user account. It's just set up to automatically log in on boot.

You should first setup a new administrator account for yourself.

If you're happy to just wipe the machine, just boot from the recovery partition and then wipe the MacintoshHD drive.
