Median house prices in longford, roscommon, cavan and leitrim were all around 50k - 60k for at least some of the months this year which would indicate that around half the properties that sold in these counties this year went for <60k.

(Source PPR graphs at e.g. http://propertypriceregisterireland.com/graphs/?action=search&type=county&id=longford)

(excluding "not full market price properties")
Laois 134 properties sold for <=60k in 2014
Offaly 98 properties sold for <=60k in 2014
Westmeath 220 properties sold for <=60k in 2014

It's a 3 bed semi in a town called Banagher. A great town on the river Shannon. Lovely place for families but not too many job prospects here if you need to work. It's up on Daft but no interior photos. Think it was well kept by it's elderly owner though.

Again, please define a decent area.

Depending on your perspective, it could mean having a fine hurling team, having high quality schools and early childhood services, having a church in the village, not having a church in the village, not having any halting sites within 20km - or a zillion other things.

If you would say what you are actually looking for, people may be able to make some suggestions.
