    Hi all,
I am trying my hand making a device which will push/pull a piston, at a very slow rate.

    So heres my requirements:
    compact and reasonably silent.
AC or DC is not important.
low cost. cheap for now but if it works, I would upgrade.
output would need to have a gear/ or preferably a square cog (quarter inch maybe)which I can attach my lever onto.
small fist size would be what I have in my head.
the weight to push / pull is approx. 10kg, on wheels.
push pull rate / rpm would be in the region of 15 up to 30 cycles/sec
a vsd would be nice but not necessary. maybe it would need to be geared down?

Im building the lever mechanism from coffee stirring sticks at the moment to see how it will work, when I have that I will have a better idea of the rpm speed.
    thanks
