Someone near Birr made their own, its basically a big drum made of bars that rotates. The 'drum' is mounted on a loader and is dipped down into a dumper trailer full of water and spun around with a hydraulic motor. Keep an eye on donedeal, they do come up now and again.

An old keenan easy feeder for less than €1000 is what you need.

Nabourgh feeds around 1000t of very a year and would be a fairly clued in type of lad. He gets lads in every year to wash his. Is it worth buying one over getting a lad in to wash it?

At around a fiver a ton its a no brainer but someone to wash beet is another problem.
Why does beet need to be washed?

To stop the clay from the beet lineing the cattles stomach and killing them over time.
