Being ringing around pricing ewe and lamb nuts and lamb finisher. The cheapest 18% for the ewes are €280+ and €300+ For lamb finisher. Considering you can buy cattle rations for well less then this, are the lower grain prices being passed on to the sheep industry this year ?

If you buy cattle ration sheep will drop like flies in 1 week... copper if cattle feed is toxic to sheep

You wouldn't be wrong there. Other then the copper taken out of sheep rations, do the raw ingredients for cattle rations be much different to sheep ? I was asking a rep recently why cattle fattening ration is €230 at the moment but the sheep fattening is €290. I got a vague answer.

There shouldn't be a massive difference in ingredients, few years ago we got a beef ration with no minerals and they did fine on it
We switched because the lambs just weren't performing on the lamb ration so switched and a few mineral buckets
