These are fairly common for all employment in the finance sector.

Can companies who are not members of ICB legally conduct credit checks on potential new employees?

The legislation in Ireland is stricter on their use than the UK.

Outside banks, credit unions, mortgage providers and local authorities there are only 26 "Finance Houses" registered as members, are these the only companies that can get your report from ICB ?

Can third party organisations retrieve credit reports from ICB as they're not members either?

    Thanks for the reply.

I am not very knowledgeable in this area.

So how does a company like JP Morgan offices in Dublin credit check their new employees?

They don't essentially as the information is not available to them same with criminal checks here

One job I went for outsourced both to a UK company but all they could do was a verification of employment history
