:pac::pac: I bought the Landvo L200 too. The only thing I didn't like was the screen resolution so I'll pass it on to a family member once this baby arrives. :)

Sorry about this question guys, but if a fella had a little over €150 to replace his battered-to-death iPhone 4, would this be as good as he'd do? Considering he'd probably get stung for customs like.

Thanks for the inside knowledge! ;)

As for the phone in the OP, would this Uriver be a better bet for the sake of an extra few dollars?

Not really up on Android stuff yet!

    Hiya
Looks good but beware of gearbest.

I ordered a phone from bargain alerts, from gearbest, on 9th Dec. Paid for 3 day airfreight. A week later they still had not shipped it. On the thurday I emailed them and they replied they wanted an address confirmation, I replied, they asked again, I replied, they asked a third time. Well I gave then what for.

It got shipped the Friday and DHL arrived at my place in Dublin on Tuesday, christmas week.

I would hate to see what they do with a standard, posted item. Once DHL got it, it literally flew (pardon the pun)

I bought the wrong phone last week and Gearbest refunded back to my PayPal account within 2 days. I'm very impressed with them as a company and so they got my business, again. Yes, I went for snail mail as I'm in absolutely no rush. I expect to have it in 3 weeks, like the L200.

@ ScouseMouse/Carbsy: Are you guaranteed to pay customs through DHL and maybe get through via standard mail?

Can't say for sure but in my experience if DHL are involved then you're definitely gonna get hit with VAT on the purchase, VAT on the shipping and then a DHL admin fee too. All adds up to around 30% on top of what you've already paid

Thanks. And I assume Gearbest put the original amount on the package?

    They usually mark it down.

I think I'm going to hold off getting another chinese phone until we start seeing some lollipop handsets. Does look nice though. :-D Better screen, dual sim, ok storage space.

My DHL parcel, which I linked to earlier, got straight through, no duty, or extras whatsoever.

As I recall, I THINK it was declared as 65 euro. It landed into Dublin Airport, Monday, three days before christmas. Maybe customs were overloaded and concentrated on the big stuff?

    I've always done that too.

Also always got it sent to my work address in the hope that they'd think there's no VAT to be applied for a business anyway!

Code in OP seems to be expired! Anyone got any codes to get it for the $132.99? Found a couple of discount codes but $154.99 is the cheapest it worked out at.

I looked at this one but reckoned it is physically too big for me to use everyday as a phone. So went for a smaller phone instead...The Doogee Valencia.

001LG will lower the price to $129 so that's an even better saving then.

Just in case more of you are interested.

Thanks OP & thanks to AlanS181824 for the new code. Works out ~€108 via snail mail but willing to wait.
