HD audio

    Hi, do any current android smartphones play high definition audio or do they all down-process HD files to lower quality formats? I have a Samsung S4 and am wondering if it is a waste of money to purchase HD audio downloads for use on the phone.
    Also, apart from Pono, does anyone have a dedicated HD audio portable player and how would you rate it?

    Android has no problem playing flac files for me.
