Does anybody know a website that teaches java or can you recommend a book that teaches it?

I only just finished java associate with them and there's still a lot more to learn. Still consider my self on the lower end of things, but know enough to write programs and give myself some much needed practice

Search for user thenewboston on YouTube. Loads of decent tutorials, starting from scratch.

I did a java course over the summer at the international academy of computer training, and although they say it would get you to the level of an entry level job, it would be far from it.

Are you looking to learn as a hobby or for a future job? If you're looking for work, the only real way I can see is building your skills a bit, then getting an internship somewhere to further develop them.

I'm just after doing his beginner course. I got to it through Udemy (https://www.udemy.com/java-tutorial/).

might be worth investigating this course:

Free course through Futurelearn starts in February

Learn basic Java programming by developing a simple mobile game that you can run on your computer, Android phone, or tablet.
