Is 18% protein enough for ewes that are in lamb, or what other info would I want to look out for?

Should be but you really need to look at what ingredients are in it, some are crap for sheep, palm kennels, etc
Personally I would like to see soya bean high on the list as well as maize

I ve seen worse, 4 good ingredients in the top 4 , however it contains no soya bean meal which along with rape are the preferred protein sources

palm kernel and sunflower are poor ingredients and should be avoided , maize gluten can vary in quality, I dont use it in sheep feed

I'm using a 18.7 % P nut of maize, barley, soya hulls, soya meal and rape, along with minerals and vits and molasses for binding

it's costing €277 per ton delivered in bulk

I wouldn't stress about the Protein until they are within 2 weeks of lambing. Agree soya is what you want to make them milk. Energy and vit and mins from 6 weeks out are most important
