Samsung Tab (SM-T310) cannot download e-mail attachments

    Hi all,
as the title suggests, I cannot download e-mail attachments using a web e-mail account on a Samsung tab SM-T310.

Its a relations Tab so they are using a working internet connection to see the e-mail account. I have downloaded "Download Manager" from Google play store so I am convinced it is just an e-mail setting, of some sort.
I cannot download any attachment from this one e-mail account.
I have not tried my own Gmail (yet) to see if I can download an attachment but I suspect that the outcome will be the same.
I have allowed content from unknown sources in the security settings. After surfing for answers, which are scarce, the general consensus seems to be to delete an e-mail account, although I am not sure how to do this correctly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't use the stock email app on my SM-T310, I've just been using the gmail app since they allowed you to put other accounts on it.

But I fired up the stock email app for a look, and I'm afraid that I can't see anything in the settings relating to attachment downloads, other than the option to automatically download attachments when connected to wi-fi, which shouldn't be the issue here.

To delete the account from the app, there's a delete account option in the app settings, so maybe delete and try setting it up again, as per your own post. Failing that, try the account with the gmail app or some other alternative.
