A very important point in any slatted shed is that the agitation points should be covered with a manure bag to prevent air being sucked down into the tanks causing a draught underneath tbe cattle causing pneumonia.

Don't know about this. I would say the most important thing to prevent pneumonia is to have adequate airflow, and this would restrict airflow. This and over crowding pens.

Yes you need airflow but not a draught...

valid point, actually the air coming up from the tanks wouldn't be the healthiest around to be inhaling,

notice the weanlings seems to have more nasal discharge after lying down over night than during the day
