This might be a question I'll need to ask locally but I'm wondering if anyone has upgraded their 21.5 inch Imac from 8gb to 16gb. They are apparently configurable to 16gb but it seems to be a mammoth job.

Apparently its quite an easy job in iMacs. Never done it myself, but from what I've been told, you order the RAM from www.crucial.com and then all you need is a screwdriver to open the slot underneath your iMac and slip the RAM in there. Id imagine taking it into the store to do it may end up costing a few bucks more.

if it's a slim iMac, it's a mammoth job and one with a lot of risks like cracking the screen! I'd ask an AASP to do it expect to be charged for it as it requires a complete take apart.

Yeah it's the slim iMac. I watched a YouTube video and it looks like a seriously precarious job. Would love to upgrade the memory though.

Yeah, I think I'll give that a miss.
