It is shocking in this day and age how RTE allow such a broadcast to take place on national TV. On RTE 1 around 11pm last night I just happended to catch the RTE News and to my horror the audio feedback was so unbearable it left a ringing in my ears. It was like it was recorded with the studio door open or something. Eileen Whelan continued to read the headlines for the duration of the bulletin without hessitation but she basically wasted her time. Do RTE not listen back to the recorded headlines before they all head home. I know they record the late headlines around 8 or 9pm.
The audio feedback lasted for the entire bulletin.

Par for the course with rte.

Remember the "irish ukranians not russians" prime time debacle.

I am convinced that nobody who works in rte actually watches rte.

They are good for a bit of comedy though, even if unintentional.
