So we have to replace our old one, is wrecked. Our son has a severe dust mite allergy so we can't get a cloth one. I'm almost accepting a PU leather one as this uses the hides from any bovine rather than ones bred just for leather. Are there any other options out there?

What about an Ikea couch but with many replacement covers? They seem to be the most easy to keep when it comes to holiday house rentals. Being able to wash them would mean that you can kill the dust mite.

Never seen these, are they fabric under the cover? Tried to find it just now but couldn't see it.

On the Ikea website, look for fabric sofas. You'll see that they come with different covers to buy. You can buy more than one cover.

There is a thing called Pleather that they use to make sofas and I think that there are many of them available.
