I unrooted my S3, download stock custom firmware by sammobile.
    Using Irelands firmware.
Now I think the phone is locked, because my 48 sim will not register to it.
Do I have to unlock it again !?

How did you unlock it in the first place? Was it via an APK or as part of the rooting process?

He may have just rooted it and installed a SIM unlock app, just search for "S3 Unlock" in the Play Store for many versions that will unlock it (root is required).

    Ah for f sake.
but then how will I unroot it.
when I unrooted it. I had to install a new custom firmware and it took me 1 hour to get this done.
and that let to the phone being locked back again.
and the weirded thing is that it does not even ask me for the network unlock code !?
All it asks during start up is the sim pin.
when i try to make a call it says network not registered.
    i am 48 btw.

You can root the stock ROM easily, then run the app. Just search XDA for "S3 Stock Root 4.x" where X is your current Android version.
