Ad pop up blocker not working

Hello,

I have a laptop (HP tablet) and I was browsing using Google Chrome. I added an "ad pop up blocker" but ads are still popping up.

I then tried to use Mozilla. Again, installed an ad pop up blocker (even ad blocker plus) but all the ads are still appearing.

Ive treble checked on the Tools-->Options--> Content that the "block pop ups" is ticked, and it is.

The strange thing is Ive a dell laptop also, running Mozilla with the ad pop up blocker, and its fine.

Help-cause its driving me nuts

(I dont mind which browser to use, as long as they stop popping up!)

make sure its up to date and that you have subscribed to an up-to-date blocking list. I had a similar problem, used this extension for my laptop where I run firefox

Thank you! These are not working for me on Chrome...

Ive updated filter list on Mozilla too - not working.

Im using www.warehouse.co.uk to test if they are working...the amount of pop ups! Nothing is blocking them!

In Mozilla, the filter subscriptions am using are:
Easylist
EasyPrivacy
Malware Domains

(using all 3 on the Mozilla on the hp, as per the Dell laptop filter lists)

But, nothing is working on the HP....

Edit: Eventually solved it by scanning with: Download AdwCleaner
