I am thinking of buying a van [three door ]. I have a ford transit connect van 1.7 2010 . What is the best van that can take a bit punishment and is reliable and cheap to run .

No offence OP but best for what? You might as well have asked which is better, a red ball or a blue ball.

What size, payload, door size, etc do you need? What would the typical load be? Do you need any extras for the driver (cab a/c, ESP, etc)? How much power do you need? Do you spend all day in towns or tearing up and down motorways?

More info needed as we could say either a Kangoo or a LWB high roof Sprinter.
