Nikon D3300

I had sold my Nikon D3200 2 months ago.
Now I wish to buy the Nikon D3300. But they have been the same price as they were when I went in at August to buy the D3200. Around the 460 price range.
Will they be getting cheaper any time soon as I look to buy a camera by the middle of January.
My price budget is 400 but can push to 420 if really needed.
    Thanks

Camera bodies depreciate over time, especially when new models are being, or have been, introduced. However, it is very difficult to predict when these price drops will occur and they will often differ from shop to shop. You could try to get a used camera or one from overseas, but there are obvious potential pitfalls with either of those options that you need to be aware of. If such things don't bother you it's €319 on eglobal....

In view of the fact that the the D3300 was not a huge upgrade, would you not consider another D3200? There's one on adverts.ie being sole 'as new' and cheap.

Hi, thanks for the info, but what do you mean by saying 'potential pitfalls'

If you read the thread three threads below this one you will read page after page of positive reviews of eglobal. The pitfall is that it comes from Hong Kong, so if something goes wrong with it you will have the hassle of returning it there (grey imports are not covered by EU warranties I believe). There is also the risk of import charges, but the suggestion seems to be that these will be covered if imposed. You might wish to post on that thread as I have no personal experience of this company.

The pitfalls of used gear is that if it fails you have little comeback (or at least a lot of difficulty getting resolution), but in saying that I have bought lots of used gear over the years and have never had a problem.

    Good luck!

Alright, thanks for letting me know that, I thought it would be delivered from within the EU, otherwise it be relatively the same price when custom charges are put on.

why did you sell the 3200? to upgrade, or you needed the money?
if the former, you won't notice a hell of a difference between the bodies.

I sold it because, at that time I did not know much about cameras, and I regret so much selling it.
The amount of pics and vids I could have taken that were actually important to me.
I though that since the S5 would have a 16mp camera I would just use that as a camera, with the addition of an excellent phone.
But I was so wrong, phone cameras cannot compete with DSLR, even if they have same pixel.
