I think if yo can see the transmitters near Newry direction the Ch are around 56, 59. Don't have the paperwork to hand but a man will be along soon with more info I would think. Hope this is some help.

    Camlough uses chs. 50, 55, & 59. 55 & 59 are co-channel with Monaghan Saorview. (Analogue BBC2 was cc with TG4.)

Closest I know to that area is around Cullaville, where I've noticed aerials for both Divis & Brougher Mtn. Freeview coverage checker doesn't have it as the best of spots.

Were they getting Analogue with their aerial setup?
Freeview needs some sort of amplifier on the aerial, whereas Saorview does not, if this wasn't powered you'd get nothing.

Saorview at Annalong needs more than an Amp, there is nothing from The Carn due to the Null to the North .Buckets from 3 rock and Kippure though.

This isn't in Annalong, it is in Crossmaglen.
As noted above, some people in those parts use Divis and some Brougher Mtn, but effective aerial amplification is needed either way.

I thought Clermont Carn was nulled directly eastward and not northerly. I can pick it up no problem here in Moira (just 17 miles SW of Belfast).

Annalong is to the east of CC. Probably a mountain or 2 in the way as well.

No bearing on Freeview reception in Crossmaglen though. :)

thanks all, this is now sorted, it was the masthead amplifier, ie it was kaput. They can pick up freeview now with no amplifier but no saorview. And for personal reasons it no longer matters.
