I bought a 1Tb Seagate Expansion drive to transfer large files from a Mac desktop to a Macbook Air. It worked fine transferring the files onto the drive from the Mac, but it won't let me add more files to the drive from the Macbook Air for some reason.

    Can anyone help?

its to do with what format the hdd is in. you either need to reformat it in disk utility if its going to be used just for mac or else get some software like Tuxera that lets you read and write to ntfs.

btw formatting it will wipe everything thats currently on the drive.

I figured it had something to do with the file-system. But I put the files onto it from a Mac, so I'm not sure why I shouldn't be able to do the same from another Mac.

    Oh and happy Christmas.
