Hi i have an issue with my ford mondeo , last week my car started to judder for no reason , I thought it might have been the fuel filter but it wasnt the case, yesterday i was driving home and it happened again, so i took it to a garage , where he done a diagnostics and the code read p1203 cylinder 3 injector circuit, my mechanic thinks that water got into the plug connection goin into the injector and it nneds drying out , i honestly dont know how that can happen , has anybody ever experienced this in ford mondeos??? i heard injectors are the most common fault with mondeos !!!

It depends a bit on mileage now. If its like the mechanic said and just the circuit is wet, it should be an easy fix.
I've a cmax with the same engine, so far so good, injectors and pump on them are usually bulletproof. Had about 4 other Ford with varying versions of that engine and did about 500k km between them with no engine problems.

The injectors in those newer 1.8TDCIs do fail and give the same symptoms you are experiencing, so it could well be an injector problem. Any Ford dealer will have new injectors in stock, which says it all really. They are Siemens injectors and Siemens seem to be incapable of making an injector that doesn't suffer from electrical failure.

I have also seen a few of them with injector circuit fault codes which was caused by the wiring loom insulation rubbing through and consequently the wires shorting out where the wiring loom runs across the top of the cam cover. This would usually be on higher mileage examples though.
