    My Springer yelps and whines when she on a running bird. Did anybody ever come across this before? Maybe its common?

    Prob excitement. Is she young?
    Hounds do that when they're on a scent so maybe she's just doing the same

    My shooting buddy's springer yelps when its on a rabbitts scent but not on a bird.

    Some dogs "give tongue" . Frowned upon when competing and a sending home offense but for rough shooting can be a good indicator.

    same with my springer when shes on a rabbit or fox..

    Rabbit has a very strong scent. Next best thing to cocaine for dogs

    Yes sh'e a barking springer i would think. she will prob bark on all game can be usefull on woodcock.

    She's 6. I did hear that it's a major fault in Trials. But I only rough shoot so it doesn't bother. Cam actually be handy

    My Bitch does it on fox's and rabbits....Great indication something going to break.

    My dog will do it if there is a pheasant in a tree. I think it down to Frustration With Him.
