Pretty sure it was Brush Shiels. Sinead O'C was lurking in with the backing singers too but didn't draw any attention to herself.

Might have been Fiachra Gaffney..he's Glen and Damo's tour manager.
Plays a session every monday night out in the straw hall..Glen&damo often turn up n play too.

thanks for the efforts, after googling Fiachra, it looked a lot more like him, would love to hear him sing to prove it. was bald and sang in a dublin accent.
