Claim income tax refund

    Hi all,

I over-paid my income for year 2014 and I understand it is now too late to claim the tax refund. According to Revenue website, If you "have not made you claim before the end of the tax year you should request a PAYE Balancing Statement/End of Year Review (P21)". I am a PAYE anytime user, so I am going to request for my P21 through this service.

I am unsure whether I would receive a tax refund together with my P21 or I have to request for tax repayment afterwards. If I have to request for tax repayment after I receive my P21, what are the steps? Do I have to write to Revenue or submitting again via PAYE online service?

You help with this is appreciated.

Revenue will either refund it directly to your bank account (if you have provided your details) or will post you a cheque.
