Have Samsung Saorview TV with all Irish channels working perfectly.
Need to install a Triax magic eye to be able to change channels on a satellite box in another room.
As soon as I installed the Triax eye at the TV end, the channels went out of tune. Had to rescan and RTE is not tuning in properly. I have not made any other adjustment. Is there something I can do ?

is it a triax trilink kit you are using?

The 'magic eye' is just the IR sensor, connected to the RF sender unit for the remote control signals. I presume the problem will still be there if you remove the tvlink/eye/whatever you want to call it?

Is it a Triax Tri-Link modulator/PSU that is actually feeding the signal to the problem TV? If so, I think the default output channel is 36: did you change this?

Yes it's a Triax Tri Link I am going to use.All I have do to date is to put the "eye" at the TV end. The Tri LInk is not yet installed and RTE1 is gone. All my other channels work OK. As I understsnd it the Tri Lik will send 9V down the cable to power the eye and allow it to send the infrared signal back to the box.

It would seem then, that your signal for the 2nd Saorview multiplex (mux 2), where RTE1 is located, is not good enough to survive whatever bit of loss the 'eye' added to the signal path.

The Tri-Link amplifies the aerial signal, so hopefully this will sort things.
