    Hi all,
Anyone doing the 2014 RTE Guide Film Quiz? I'm really stuck on Qs 6, 8 and 29.

Q6: Which band, which shares a name with one of the most popular dogs in the movie history, had one of their biggest hits with a song that shared a name with a popular Hollywood actress of the time?

Q8: B/w photo of actress (no scanner so can't send!)

Q29: In The Last Movie Show (1972), what was the last movie shown?

    Thanks!

A popular dog/band combo would be something like Toto. Don't know their backcatalog so not sure what song they are talking about.

The Last Picture Show is the correct name for that film AFAIK.

I think it would be Roseanna, which was about Roseanna Arquette.

Photo of actress is Jane Greer (thanks to Google Reverse Image Search).

Anyone know the answer to #31?

I guessed Toto for Q6 also.. But I am stuck on these ones.

    Q3, Q9, Q18, Q19, Q29 - same as above - Last picture show

Aw feck! I got one question wrong: Q27...Jeff Bridges was the answer. Can anyone remember the question please? I chucked out my RTE Guide last Friday.

For some fecking reason I had "John Wayne" as the answer! :o

I had John Wayne also as it's a line from true grit...
    question
Who won an Oscar playing a foolish old man who has been drawn into a wild goose chase by a harpie in trousers and a nincompoop

Yeah so it was John Wayne and not Jeff Bridges!! Bridges was only nominated for the 2010 version of True Grit. Feck's sake....RTE is a mess. I'll be dropping Michael Doherty an email in case I didn't win because of their mistake.

    Hi all,
Are the answers out already? Which issue were they in or does anyone have the list of answers?

    Thanx

I just went into my local newsagent last night and leafed through the RTE Guide they had...to be honest I can't remember what was on the front!

I remember that the answers were on the left hand page side just before the listings section (and after the silly articles, interviews etc).

Wish I had taken a pic with my phone now!

Also for Q34 the answer given in the RTE Guide was "My Cherie Amour" which I believe is incorrect also. My answer was "Don't You Worry Bout a Thing".

Not sure if anyone's interested but I took a pic with my phone of the answers (sorry for poor quality/angle):
