Does Thomann normally have a January sale?

    Looking at digital pianos on Thomann.de but it's not critical to have before Christmas so wondering if people here know from previous years if they normally drop prices after Christmas?

    They sometimes have unbelievable prices. I got an amp for about 300euro less. Day after purchase the same product price came back to its market value. For the first 2 weeks I was wondering is there anything wrong with the one I got because when ordering this item was out of stock, even so my was delivered within few days brand new.

    I've found Thomann and Musicstore prices to fluctuate on a seemingly random basis, over short periods of time and always in sync with one another. I presume price is down to some kind of computer algorithm.

    When this happens my reaction is the opposite to DamianK's. Previously I wanted to buy a Laney Lionheart amp. The price fluctuated by about 30% over the period I was considering it. When the price changed from low to high, then to slightly above the original price I just decided that it would be easier to buy elsewhere. And I did.

    I am generally happy with them, also putting reviews for every item I bought and getting vouchers which usually cover delivery cost. And everything I got was brand new from the box. To travel to Dublin I need to spend the same amount of money and won't get the big selection. Amps/guitars here are treated like demo products. I bought guitar in Dublin and she was hanging in the store. When I decided to take it guy brought the guitar softcase from the warehouse without original box and put the warranty papers in brown envelope. Although I am very satisfied with this model which production was stopped in 2011 and it had very good opinions this should not be they way to go. I heard Thomann/Musicstore do similar practice by selling stuff that came back as new but not sure whether that's true.
