ABS Unit

Hey, I have a 2004 Clio, the ABS light along with Service, Stop and Parking light have all started coming on my dash. I brought it to the mechanic and he took it out and said he thinks the abs unit is bust as when he had it hooked up to the computer and the car was stationary one of the wheels was giving off a reading from 20mph-150mph.

He told me a brand new unit is out of the question as it would not be worth the money so he recommended trying some scrap yards to see if I can find the part.

My question to the far more informed than myself is how much should I be paying for the Abs unit if somebody has it, don't want to be getting screwed over!

I had one reconditioned before on an Audi and it cost around €170 between sending it to the UK, getting it done and sending it back. I wouldn't be paying a whole lot for a second hand one though as you won't get much of a guarantee with it.

I found a scrap yard with one today, they're looking for €100 for it, seems reasonable enough?
