    Can someone tell me is there any method/loophole for reducing CGT on shares.Many thanks in advance.

    If you pay the tax it's reduced to nil.

    That's a fantastic loop hole.

    You also mitigate the risk of any penalties and interest.

    Everybody wins

    There are lots of ways to do this and there are like ta of factors to take into account. Best person to speak with is a professional tax adviser - the first three by to ask them is how much they will charge.

    Sell some before the year is out. You get an annual exemption every year of €1270
