Not clued into those cars at all (and could well be mistaking it with something else altogether) but are those not the cars where "Catastrophic engine failure" is often a talking point!?

EDIT: T'is a fairly nice looking car, though. Tow bar would be coming off it straight away if it were mine, but other than that it's actually a lovely looking estate.

Engine failure is usually associated with the Jap import, turbo models with failure being caused by running on the wrong grade of petrol. The issues shouldnt affect you. Just be mindful of warming up and warming down procedures and you should be fine.

Very tempted to buy this tomorrow. My own car, a Mitsubishi Legnum, is burning oil so I might upgrade. Its a Legacy gt 2.0 petrol turbo.. She's a looker..

Being Japanese and petrol, in short you cant go wrong. I was close to getting a 3.0R Scoby but got a lexus in the end.

legacy very good cars and rare too... rare is good. :P

Yup. Here in New Zealand. Insurance is pretty cheap. It's a stunning car to drive aswell.. Very tempted..
How does it compare to legnum? Never saw one in the metal in ireland, only online. Always had a thing for the performance estate version where most people go for the saloon.
Ye're spoiled for choice out there, I wouldn't know what to choose - holden ss ute or similar would be on my list.

Beautiful car. As said already, it's probably heavy on fuel. What price is a litre petrol out there?

Probably no worse than the horrible gdi engine in the legnum. Its about 2 dollars for 95, 1.93 for 91.
Ah, I thought you might have had the vr4 legnum!

id get a 3.0 legacy over any holden. Holden basically have truck engines shoe horned into them. a straight 6 boxer in the legacy is a thing of beauty.

Funny how something like that would be seen as a sensible car in some countries but would be grounds for being committed here. I think anyone who likes to go fast should try a turbo Subaru if the opportunity presents itself. The flat 6 is supposed to be a lovely engine too but not many of them in Ireland even in Celtic tiger times.

    Well wear.
I picked one up earlier this year here in Ireland. One owner with full Subaru service history from new.
    I love it.

    Enjoy her!

EDIT; Yours is better looking than mine..!
