    Anyone watching tonight?

Nearly all finishes. Expect to see a few more stoppages too in the remaining fights.

    Got Magomedov, Barao and Machida

Pat Cummins probably takes a decision also

Silva was probably the biggest question mark in that.

Need to see a tear up soon before I fall asleep these stoppages over fingers being out of place /submissions are not good for the attention span

I'll watch Rampage regardless but I dunno where he's going to go. If he was smart he'd ask for Shogun or Hendo, nobody too fresh

Dunno what to make of that tbh, any point really other than $'s for him hopefully nothing like the last times we saw him, haven't caught him in any fight outside UFC but wasn't aware he did anything to justify coming back

ya know I'm the same, kinda glad he's back but a bit cringing at the thoughg after his last few UFC fights.

Hopefully he goes full scale rampage like the pride days, can't see it though, don't think he has any(enough) hunger for that. Maybe its a wee sly move from the UFC so they dont have a *ahem* Hollywood movie star in the the lawsuit against them :D Aul rampage ain't been the friendliest in the past so I actually wouldn't put it past them lol

Rampage He's ranked #13 in fight matrix rankings who are usually pretty accurate. He re built a little with wins against B-level competition, has nothing on the top guys

Good fight on atm, close and not sure how to call it.

/edit it's being ruled by groin shots though!

Barao looked a bit flat, i would have thought it would be a close decision if he didnt get the finish, i think he might have lost the first 2 rounds

Baraos gone. You can easily see now why he pulled out of the rematch v Dollaway.

He won the first with the knockdown near the end and he absolutely bossed the second and third. Even Gagnon's corner knew he was down by two going into the third.

Thing is though, and i say this with all due respect to Mitch Gagnon, if this fight happened two years ago, Barao would have finished him in less than a round. It was a tainted victory in my opinion, in that it highlighted how far away Barao is from ever retrieving the belt.

Unless he goes to Middleweight I cant see him fighting Hendo, Hendo took too much punishment at 205 recently that i cant see him going back to it.

Silva is by far one of the most scariest guys in the world in the first round, man he needs consistency!

Two of the three judges scored the second for Gagnon I thought?

Wow really?? I didn't see that, thanks. Interesting and I'm surprised to say the least. Even so there's no doubt in my mind the decision would have went with Barao.

I saw it as very one sided. Gagnon was game as they come in fairness to him, but totally ineffective almost everywhere. Only place he could mix it was in the close exchanges on the feet. And even there IMO it was 50/50 at best. Barao as far as I could see was in control everywhere else.

Was he not pinned against the cage for the majority of the second?? I thought he was getting out struck in the first, knock down may not have automatically won the round for him

In this instance the knockdown was enough to give him the nod in a close round I think. As for the second I thought he won it because he basically neutralised anything that Mitch tried to do as well as getting the better of the striking exchanges, brief and rare as they were.

AFAIR, weren't they separated twice in the second for inactivity against the fence?? I think Gagnon realised very early he was not going to take him down so he was hoping Barao would make a mistake in the clinch that he could capitalise on.

Eric Silva! You ****ing champ! He's just a joy to watch fighting.

Thought Barao looked a little lack lustre in the stand-up exchanges early on but seemed to settle back in to his rhythm. His submission was slick. I loved how he immediately went for the head/arm and planted his foot on Gagnon's hip to prevent him countering the choke.

And then Lyoto, my main man, there's just something about watching him. Anyone who comes out in a full Gi means business. I felt that kick from over here!

lol so what? After timing about bets is a ballbag thing to do, but aftertiming about a defeat will just get you laughed at IMO :D

I fell asleep while the event was on other night, picked up on rest of it last night. I didn't see anything from Barao that made me think he was in trouble but he looked like he could have stepped in up a few gears. I hope the defeat to Dillashaw is just what he needs to go away, refocus his career and rebuild starting with this fight. Unfortunatly it seems a bit of a Brazilian trait to work hard to get to a certain level then relax and become lazy, I hope thats not whats happening with Barao as I'd love to see him back smashing people.

Machida, well what can you say? I thought it was a mismatch before the fight but that leg kick could have cut any smaller man in 1/2  Talk of Machida/Rockhold next...for me is another straight forward win for the dragon
