Does anyone know if it is possible to cycle through the Powerscourt Estate on a route like this:

I was up there today in the car and it looked like it would be a lovely road to cycle. Seemed to be somewhat of a public road but I didn't go too far down the road so it may not be.

I don't see why not you can drive in so should not be a problem cycling

I don't know if you can drive through the full way. I only went as far as the hotel. There is a guard hut at the entrance so I'm not sure what the story is and whether it is a public road or not.

Just looked at the eastwest map and it looks like a track after the carpark. Don't know what the surface is like, might be better suited to a mountain bike.

I ride my MtB through there quite a lot but definitely not supposed to!

Powerscourt is a private estate. Parts of it are accessible by daily or annual ticket holders only. The road outlined on the map goes through the golf course and is best avoided. Besides there is a locked gate at the end of this road at the Kilmolin exit.
