    Hi peeps,

Can anyone recommend a good package for technical analysis?

    Ideally something non web based.

Using trade navigator right now which I find good but I can't warrant the fees.

Maybe something that just requires you to have cash in an account?

Have you been trading based on your analysis? I was thinking to start trading based on my own fundamental analysis (I'm trained to masters level in economics and used to work at monitoring news about the markets) but I'm concerned that it might just be a "quant's" game now. As far as I know though, all the major banks still have dealing-floors.

I've not gotten to the stage where I'm comfortable enough investing yet.

From what I've seen Technical Analysis shows good insight into future patterns, however I lack a platform to use currently

I'm looking for a package that will help me chart and track options. Trend lines, support resistance stuff like that.

I'm still fairly new to this stuff.

I've used trade navigator which I thought was good.

I currently have optionsexress trial which seems good platform to familiarise myself with brokers but not so much charting.

    I've heard people use ninjatrader?

Have you tried using horoscopes? I believe they will tell you what you want to hear also.

    This made me laugh.

But seriously TA is good for checking resistance levels but easily done on any platform. But that's the extent of my TA bar looking at the 3 year and 1 year chart before a trade
