    Anyone own/have owned/driven the 1.4 petrol engine of one of these? Thoughts?

    i reckon they are kind of like the 21st century corolla.

    the 1.4 won't set the world on fire with pace, but they are very reliable and dependable. spec is usually decent too :)

    Driven a good few of them. Easily the liveliest of the non-turbo 1.4 petrols.
    That said, engine size isn't that big a factor after 2008 when tax is concerned.

    Kia ceed is basically the same thing. Some uk 1.4 models have less powerful engine than irish spec (for emissions)

    Ignition coils go regularly but other than that they are sold.
