Hi guys long time no see, looking to tap into the pool of forum experience instead of reading a load of mouse reviews hungover :). Need to replace the old trusty MX518 quickly as the lazer has just died. As its a bad time for getting stuff dellivered in a timely fashion gonna suck it up and go with a b&m store, that and I have a 50 eur all4one voucher as well.

Budget is circa 50-80 ideally probably prefer something wired and of a similar size (on the larger size) but open to all suggestions.
    Thanks.

Might not be what you are looking for but spotted this on HUKD earlier
    http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/logictech-g600-gaming-mouse-29-99-delivered-direct-from-logitech-2077317

Here it is one the Irish logitech site http://gaming.logitech.com/en-roeu/product/g600-mmo-gaming-mouse

Logitech G600 for €40 incl shipping.
I know you had said were looking for Bricks and Mortar, but just thought I'd suggest as saw earlier today so was in my head and it is a good deal.

Cheers not too badly priced. Pretty much exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks for the above suggestions cruizer101 good deals but I prefer a simpler mouse and need to get back to FC4 tonight, it is not fun with a laptop travel mouse :)

    g400s is a great upgrade from a mx518

I do like the look of the G400 but can only find it online. Tracked down a DeathAdder in PC World for 69 so happy enough with that, not too for 19 plus a 50 voucher from work. Couldn't see if Maplins accept the AF1 voucher or not so will strech to the extra 2 euro. Thanks again guys.

My 518 is over 4 years old never had a single issue with it and still going strong.
Ive more than likely cursed it now.
Isnt the G600 more for mmos and the G400 closer to the 518?

g400/s is identical in shape to the mx518

It's hand enough fixing the mx518s when they break

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Genuine-Logitech-usb-cable-for-MX518-MX510-MX500-MX310-G1-G3-/150814716321

You`ll need to buy replacement mouse feet aswell. I did it and got another year out of it

Wanted the G400 alright as it seems the most similar but couldn't go the bones of a week without a mouse.

TBH I am a bit surprised but I can't say I actually miss the MX518 all that much after a few hours with the deathadder, a bit lighter and feels much smoother ( I presume because of the higher dpi), and yet is still a very comfortable mouse for the larger (handed) gentlman

EDIT: @nuxx ou reckon a new cable might solve my dead lazer problem? Might chance one if so as the old mouse would be nice and comfy for the work PC if I could resurrect it

The usb change fixes the the cut offs and disconnecting and the mouse losing power. By dead laser I'm assuming the mouse just suddenly stopped working altogether? If that's the case I doubt it will :(

I bought a g502 when my mx518 died, the laser is amazing in it. The problem I had is I use a low sensitivity and "lift" the mouse alot, I just couldn't get used to the new weight and size, had to sell it on adverts. I know others who really like it though

Thanks no butttons still work on mine just the lazer is dead so can only click on one pixel. Worth asking anyway think it can go safely into the recyling.

Still have my original launch 518....works perfect.

Although have gone back to a deathadder. Although don't know why I hate Razer stuff
