ABS light no showing

Just back from NCT centre and it failed for having no ABS warning light showing when the ignition is turn on. The mechanic said its supposed to light up for 3 seconds and turn off. It's a 2003 Citreon Xsara 1.4 and i recently had to get the ECU replaced. I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and if so is it…

Just back from NCT centre and it failed for having no ABS warning light showing when the ignition is turn on. The mechanic said its supposed to light up for 3 seconds and turn off.

It's a 2003 Citreon Xsara 1.4 and i recently had to get the ECU replaced.

I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and if so is it difficult to fix if its more serious than a dead bulb in the dash.

The car just died one day on the road and wouldn't start but it had trouble starting before that anyway. I suspect a water splash from a flood i hit caused all the bother with the electronics.
