Hi there, After a long time out of work, my partner might be getting a job after xmas. I'm a mature student and I receive BTEA. I'm not 100% sure what the story is with BTEA, is it means tested? Will I need to let them know if my partner gets a job? I have read citizens advice stuff on BTEA but I don't really see anything…

Hi there,

After a long time out of work, my partner might be getting a job after xmas. I'm a mature student and I receive BTEA.

I'm not 100% sure what the story is with BTEA, is it means tested? Will I need to let them know if my partner gets a job?

I have read citizens advice stuff on BTEA but I don't really see anything on whether its means tested or not.. just says the rate will be the same rate as the payment you receive before..

Any advice appreciated TIA
