Hi everyone, I oddly cant seem to find any information on this topic. My mum would not be used to traveling through larger airports and unable to walk long distances. Does airport assistance help people to get from one gate to their connecting gate including picking up baggage if needed? It would be different airlines.... The airports in question would be Heathrow and New York.. Thanks for your help on this topic!

Yes but you must inform the airline in advance. If your traveling on a single ticket then baggage will automatically be transferred to flights even if it was on Aer Lingus to London and BA to New York.

If it's on separate tickets and baggage had to be re checked in again I am not sure but shouldn't be a major issue.

Airlines websites will have all the detail.

Thank you! I wasn't sure if they would bring her to her next gate or not she will be a whole lot less worried now :)
