I know, I know, there's a whole week to go but I'm afraid time will fly by and I won't get to wish all users of the Nature forum a Happy and relaxing Christmas. I hope 2015 brings all health and happiness. Thank you all for another year of enlightening and interesting discussion and to the Mods for maintaining a good natured (pun intended) forum.

Thanks Rivka Bald Wrench, I have been thinking for a while if there would be quorum for a boards outing to watch wildlife.

Could we make it happen in '15?

The gluttonous, materialist, consumerist splurge that has evolved out of the celebration of this bizarre oriental mystery cult leader birthday is a environmental catastrophe.

It's a long way down the list of ongoing environmental catastrophes, relax

Speaking as a mod, if you want to rant about the waste etc. around christmas and ways to minimise it, then start a new thread and I'll move your above post - but this isn't the thread for it.

It's that time of year again.

Enjoy a happy, safe, and rewarding spell with Nature over the Christmas break.

    Best wishes to all.

It just doesn't feel like Christmas, I still have flowering snapdragons and sweet peas in the garden. But wishing everyone a good one anyway!

It's that time of year when the bumping of a zombie thread is justified.

A very happy Christmas to all. Try to get out nature watching over the Christmas break. And don't forget to keep feeding the birds - they love cake and pudding crumbs and leftovers.

And the same to you Srameen. I'm sat here watching about 25 goldies on the niger feeder and i feel sorry for them in that weather!
