    petrol or diesel ?

about 200-350 for the clutch kit , and labour would/could be 300+ ?

Shop around different mechanics , alot of them will sting you for a clutch job :)

    Petrol

I'm sure it's gonna need it soon as my clutch is vibrating under foot and I need to get the revs up on releasing it as the car vibrates and feels like its gonna cut out.

I've had the clutch fluid changed as a trial step but its hasn't done any good at all.

Sounds like a worn throwout bearing or clutch material stuck on the flywheel. is the clutch slipping ?

No, it's literally vibrating when foot placed on it and chugging when lifting foot off particularly going into 2nd.

Really cant afford a whole new clutch set, wonder is it worth getting a second opinion? before committing to a whole new clutch set?

How far up do you have to let the clutch pedal go before the clutch engages? If it's nearly all the way up, the clutch is worn and will need to be replaced.

Vibration only with the clutch engaged is 95% time the throwout bearing.

Id get 2-3 opinions off different places if i where you OP , dont get something done thats not the problem :)

From what you describe it is the springs in the clutch plate,100%

I have to release the clutch and go heavy on the gas to avoid cutting out, the car vibrates as I release the clutch.:(

I can feel the clutch vibrating if I just press it and hold it and then when driving I sometimes can feel it vibrate if I just rest my foot on it but not press it.

    Thanks for help thus far.

    Any particular brand?

Micks Garage has a Valeo for 230.00

Mechanic, said a new one would cost 350.00 plus 150.00 labour -

Is 500.00 over the top or....?

I've never had a clutch replaced for 150, it's usually like 600 all in for a clutch and labour.

And what would you think of a Valeo for € 230.00 ??
