My father has this kit in his car also and it has developed issues. It no longer mutes the stereo for phone calls and for a while people at the other end of the line could no longer hear you, but you could hear them. I tried a software update last night and now I think the situation is that there is no sound from it on…

My father has this kit in his car also and it has developed issues. It no longer mutes the stereo for phone calls and for a while people at the other end of the line could no longer hear you, but you could hear them. I tried a software update last night and now I think the situation is that there is no sound from it on either side of the line at all, although I do not know if it became like that before the update.

Could this be an installation issue or a problem with the kit itself?
