I borrowed a Cattle clipper of a neighbour it has a battle head but it won't cut them as there too sweaty. When is the best time to clip them or is there any clipper on the market that will clip them?

What is it doing? Does it just seem to be combing through the hair? If it is it could be that the combs are not tight enough, the one here will cut through wet dry or full of dung :(

It like there is resistance To the clipper it won't but through the hair. It not a top of the range clipper but suppose to be 350w power?

Possibly a sure clip? That's what the one here is, if the blades aren't tight enough it seems hard set to cut and when you look closely at the hair it looks like it's just gone through it like a brush or comb, or else it will have cut some but not all of it. they need to be quite tight, and keep the oil on them,

just run it with a bit of oil and keep tighten it down slowly till it sounds like it's loading the motor a bit, then give it a quick try,

What's the main reason for clipping,is it to do with lice control.would it be a good idea to clip before applying pour on or is it necessary.?

Clipping makes absolutely no difference to the results of a pour on. Clipping backs stops cattle sweating

yes and no, while it may not affect the overall effect id imagine the uptake period would be reduced, as it will get in direct contact with the skin a lot quicker, and therefore to blood stream to be circulated quicker. theres quite a depth of hair on the back when you shave it!

never clipped cattle, but clipped hundreds of horses, and resistance is generally a sign of blunt blades
