not sure if I'm in the right area . Travelling to New York on Sunday . Booked my tickets through a website tour operator instead of going direct with aer lingus as it worked out at €100 cheaper . Chose the seats with the agent when I paid online but know when I go to delta website they have no record of this . Anyone familiar with how delta works with seat selection ? This is my first time flying delta and using an operator as it worked out cheaper this time . Thanks

Not 100% sure of the Delta situation but I do know that if you book with a travel agent the EI.Com website will not recognise your booking reference for seat selection purposes. Delta may be the same.

was just told by agent that i will be assigned seats at airport. Would it be worth my while to go up early as possible , as me and my brother travelling together and obviously want to sit together?

Yes, always. You will have people who selected seats on Delta.com and who get in early to 'beat'
