Maybe it's just me, but I was having a browse earlier and noticed Levis denim shirts are €90+.

I know they were always a bit pricey, but to me, that sounds like an awful lot of money?

I know you'd pay the bones of that for decent jeans as well, but I would have thought you would be putting more stress and wear on jeans, so if you can afford good quality, go for it.

Just struck me as an awful lot to pay for a shirt. Same with Lee, etc.

It all depends on what make you want. The last 2 shirts I bought cost €28 (checked shirt from Next) and €39 (plain shirt from TM Lewin). But I also have a number of Tommy Hilfiger shirts which were approximately €100 each. It just depends on where you shop and what fits you best

Agree about the levis stuff. Where do you find decent diesel shirts at that price?

Try to pick up a shirt or two in August & January sales at BT - 50% off. Formal & casual, great deals to be had.

Kildare village has a great diesel store.

For short sleeved in the summer, M&S does the job

Bought one yesterday in Mahon Point, Cork in a Diesel shop, presume their stock in similar nationwide.

FYI that is a different Diesel to the one in Kildare Village. That's just a casual Irish clothing brand called Diesel. The other one is the mid-range Italian brand.

If you want good priced Diesel (Italian) clothes check out USC, formally Republic. Sometimes you have to trawl their website but I picked up a Diesel denim shirt and black Diesel jeans for £100 a few months ago. Diesel make the most comfortable jeans and their shirts are really well constructed.

Yeah, apologies, as per my link I'm on about the "Irish" diesel stuff.
I think its decent stuff not badly priced.

Actual Diesel Italian stuff doesn't fit me :pac:

I would say €90 is about right for a decent shirt. Then again, I just bought a reasonable Benetton one which was €47.

But you'll probably find the 90 euro shirt is the one that fits best, washes well, and will last you longer.

I find Penguin shirts to be pretty good too and they are normally around the same price.

Arnott's have a great mens selection of shirts. Farah Vintage range from €60 - €100, Selected and HE Mango have a good range in and around €50 plus. They also have Ted Backer and All Saints, which are fairly expensive. I have shirts from all these brands and have to say you get what you pay for in terms of fit and quality.

I find shirts from Topman, H&M and NEXT are not great value for the price, sometimes €50 euro and you can get shirts from Selected for the same.

T.M. Lewin have great value for work, 5 for €100-€130 and they are good quality and fit.
