I have sucklers that I am out-wintering. I am bringing good quality silage to them every second day.

I figured there is no point spending money on straw when they are happy out. There is autumn and spring calvers in the one group. Will spring calvers get to fat?

If you get the silage tested (I see it €25 well spent), it will tell ya how much kg/day your cows will put on with silage alone, silage + 2kg meal etc.
