Boots for a slim leg

Hey guys, my lovely boyfriend is buying me a pair of boots for Christmas. Looking for a flat, black comfortable pair with some decent soles (not clickity clackity), either calf length or knee. Thing is every pair I try on are really wide around my calves as my legs are very thin. Can anyone recommend a good place to look for slim-leg boots?

I had this problem last year and eventually bought in Cinders in Dundrum. Just had a look at their website and they have some slim fitting boots. The country the boots are made in is apparently a good indicator; mine were made in Italy.

Interesting, thanks! I'll have a look around there, I know they sell great boots but quite expensive IIRC

I have wide calves and have a couple of pairs from DUO boots (online) - they sell boots by calf size as well as foot size so you can get something that fits perfectly! I can't recommend them enough They are expensive though, although I think they have some boots on sale at the moment. Might be worth a look!

I was also going to suggest Duo. Unlike you, I have wide calves and Duo have been my saviours. I know that they cover a wide range of widths, so it's worth checking them out. The best value will be in the sales, if you're willing to wait that long. The boots are expensive, but I have pairs that are 4+ yrs old with very little wear.

Buy regular-sized ones and get a cobbler to correct the fit? I've heard of slim-legged people doing this, should be fine once the boots are decent quality (can be opened for restitching).

Forgot about this thread! Aldo had pairs that fit my leg great but weren't that nice in general for the price. But went to Corkis on Henry St in Dublin and found a few amazing pairs for great prices, got a lovely comfy black pair with a slight wedge heel and tight around the legs for only €55, nice and sturdy too. There was another shop on Henry St, sold shoes and dresses, beside the entrance to Jervis St shopping centre, they had lovely ones too. Just in case anyone was wondering :D
